Local Community Events and Partnerships

Here at Williams Subaru, we're proud to be able to give back to our local Charlotte community. We are on a mission to be More than a Car Dealership, and we are dedicated to making Charlotte, and the surrounding area, a better place to work, live, and play.

We believe in giving back to our community not just with monetary donations, but with actions and donations of our time through volunteer work and community service.

This showcase of past events is displayed in the customer waiting lounge of our dealership.

We are so excited to be the presenting sponsor for the 3rd year in a row of the Bark in the Ballpark series with the Charlotte Knights! This year, there will be a total of 4 nights throughout the summer where you can bring your pup with you to the baseball field. Such a fun night! It's priceless when they sound a doorbell over the loud speakers! Once again we will be offering free chip checks for all dogs in attendance to make sure they have a micro chip and the registration is up to date!

Brandi is in charge of a team during a 10-week campaign to raise as much as possible for LLS. The candidate whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of "Man or Woman of the Year".

Common Heart Retro Run @ Chestnut Square Park
Saturday, May 23rd 2020
Common Heart operates 8 local food pantry programs in Union County, NC providing 5050,721 meals in 2019 to an average of 750 families each month. The Retro Run is a fun 5K and 10K featuring an 80s concert, food trucks, and fun following the races! Our sponsorship will help expand their services and programs to help solve the problems of hunger and poverty locally.

Dog Adoption Event @ Williams Subaru
Saturday, July 11th
We will be lending our showroom to our friends at the Union County Humane Society for the day so they can hold adoptions inside with air conditioning, rather than outside in the harsh summer heat. The HSUC conducts adoptions every Saturday, and often it is just too hot outside to keep the animals outside safely. Without an adequate indoor space, they rely on donated indoor space to hold events when necessary. We are opening our doors to our friends on Saturday July 11th, and will be providing every new pet owner with a New Owner kit to get them started off on the right foot! We will have a local Veterinarian on site offering vouchers for a complimentary first wellness check, a local doggie daycare offering a free trial boarding, and a local pet food store offering a food starter kit to new dog parents.

Pawsitively Matthews @ Stumptown Park
Saturday, November 7th 2020
A fun day for dogs and their people! Find over 50 pet-friendly vendors, food trucks, and a live band. Williams Subaru will be offering free photos and kisses in our Puppy Kissing Booth as well as micro-chip registration checks in partnership with the Humane Society of Charlotte.

Common Heart Volunteering
Friday, March 20th 2020
When COVID-19 made it's way to North Carolina, Williams Subaru immediately thought first about the seniors and children of our community who would be in need very soon. The team at Common Heart let us know that they could use our help in the pantry organizing their stock, and packing food boxes for delivery for our neighbors in need. Our team went and helped them out right away! With all of the movie theaters having shut down, they had an influx of candy and snacks that had recently been donated and were in desperate need of having those sorted and ready for delivery to the community. Our General Sales Manager, Shawn, and Love Encore Specialist, Arielle, spent the morning there and got it all done! We made sure to practice safe social distancing and consistent hand washing throughout our time there. We look forward to continuing to support Common Heart and other neighborhood non-profits who are in extra need right now.

Wednesday, March 11th 2020
The NoDa Run Club put on an amazing event picking up trash while running! Williams Subaru was on-site to help sort through the trash and will recycle what we can with our partners, TerraCycle. The Williams Subaru Around the Crown 10K Outback also led the crowd on their route through NoDa as we worked together to clean up our hood!

March - August 2020
We are excited to partner with our friends at MARA for the second year in a row!

Sunday, March 8th 2020
Williams Subaru proudly supports the families at Shamrock Gardens year in and year out. This annual fun-run is the school's flagship fundraising event and we are thrilled to be a Gold Sponsor. Our donation will help support field trips, Teacher Innovation Requests, Academic Enrichment Clubs, and much more.

Williams Subaru Team Volunteer @ Common Heart
Friday, March 6th 2020
The Williams Subaru Love Promise team had a great time volunteering in the Common Heart food pantry, sorting through items donated from local grocery stores. Common Heart serves residents in need in our neighboring community, Union County, NC. Common Heart relies on volunteer hours to accomplish their community mission.

We spent 3 hours sorting through food, and packing up other volunteers' vehicles for delivery out in the community.

Williams Subaru Team Volunteer @ Second Harvest Food Bank Metrolina
Tuesday, February 11th 2020
We love volunteering for our friends at Second Harvest Food Bank Metrolina. What an amazing organization, they make a huge impact on the Charlotte community and beyond. Since 1981, SHFBM has been on a missions to eliminate hunger by the solicitation and distribution of food and more to those in need. They rely heavily on the power of volunteers, and we enjoy spending a morning or afternoon with them a few times a year. SHFBM was also our Share the Love campaign beneficiary in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Throughout those 3 years Williams Subaru was able to donate over $78,000 to their organization.

We spent 3 hours sorting through donated medical supplies to be distributed to local charitable agencies.

Queen City Brewer's Festival
Saturday, February 1st 2020
For the 3rd year in a row Williams Subaru was proud to bring the Queen City Brewer's Festival mission to life. The QCBF is put on to benefit, ACEing Autism, a 501c3 that connects children with autism through unique tennis programs. To communicate this partnership to festival goers, we fill a Subaru with tennis balls and collect guesses for how many are inside. If someone guesses correctly, they win a new Subaru!

Share the Love 2019 @ Williams Subaru
November 14th - January 2nd 2019
Williams Subaru selected Second Harvest Food Bank Metrolina for the 3rd year as our 2019 Share the Love hometown charity partner. Williams Subaru donated $50 for every vehicle sold during this time frame, and Subaru of America donated an additional $250 per car sold to a charity of the buyer's choice. Many of our Williams Subaru customers also selected SHFBM and in total we were able to donate $31,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank Metrolina for the 2019 campaign. In addition, Williams Subaru held a canned food drive and donated over 200 pounds of food donated by our staff and customers.
