Educating Future Female Drivers

Williams Subaru had a great time hosting a Car Care Seminar with local Girl Scouts in our service center! We’re thrilled we were able to help 15 girls earn their Car Care Badge after learning how to change a tire, check tire pressure, and check oil levels. We invited members of the Girl Scouts Hornets’ Nest Council to join us on a Saturday afternoon and provided a test vehicle for the instructor to demonstrate on. The girls spent the afternoon learning from LeAnn Shattuck, owner of the Car Chick and one of Mecklenburg Times’ 50 Most Influential Women. LeAnn is a dear friend of Williams Subaru and is on a mission to make the car buying and care process easier for women everywhere. The girls had a great time learning how to take care of important issues with their future cars and walked away with lots of fun Subaru swag! We can’t wait to see them all again in a few years when they are driving on the road themselves! We look forward to hosting future Car Care seminars with our local youth. It’s so important to set up tomorrow’s drivers for success and we’re proud to be a part of it here at Williams Subaru.
